Superflex (2QB) Draft Strategy

In superflex and 2QB leagues you can start a second quarterback in a flex spot, which makes quarterbacks far more valuable, most managers should draft their first QB in the first two or three rounds and a second QB shortly after. Because only about 20 QBs start each week across a 12-team 2QB league, the position becomes scarce, so waiting too long can leave you streaming a bottom-tier starter all season.

Why QBs jump up the board

In a single-QB league you can wait on quarterback because even a mid-tier QB scores well. In superflex, every team wants two, so demand roughly doubles and the top 15 to 20 quarterbacks fly off the board a round or two earlier than their single-QB ADP. Our cheat sheet has a Superflex view built from real 2QB ADP so you can see exactly where QBs go.

A simple plan

Secure one top-12 quarterback in the first three rounds, then grab a second reliable starter before the QB run dries up (usually by round six or seven). After that you can draft normally, prioritizing running backs and receivers. Rushing quarterbacks are gold in superflex because their weekly floor is so high.

Do not punt QB

The biggest mistake in superflex is treating it like a normal draft and waiting on quarterback. If you end up with two low-end QBs, you give up a large, weekly points edge that is hard to make up elsewhere. Practice a 2QB board in our mock draft simulator before your real draft.

Frequently asked

How early should I draft a QB in superflex?

Take your first quarterback in the first two to three rounds, and your second by around round six or seven, before the run on startable QBs ends.

How many QBs should I draft in a 2QB league?

Aim for at least three quarterbacks: two starters plus a backup, since you must fill two QB-eligible spots every week and injuries happen.
